It is the fabulous beach in North Goa. The best time to visit this place is from December to February. This beach is quite peaceful than other beaches of Goa. The beach is long and straight. And the one thing that is very popular among package tourists is back scrubbing by sand covered dunes. The straight sandy stretch runs into a busy and commercialized centre of this place. One can easily reach here by bus from Mapusa and Calangute. The nearest interstate bus station is at Mapusa, which is the KTC bus station.
You can also feel please when you see Fort Aguada. This fort is built in 1612 by the Portuguese. This is the famous Fort and worth visiting also. On the northern side of this fort there are two beaches. One of this is Candolim and other is Calangute. At this beach you can find sufficient number of hotels starred as well as non-starred one. It has got a lot if inns which have really good facilities. But the sad thing is here that here accommodation is little high for most of the season. But you will find variety of accommodation close to the beach.
